Okay eating delicious food is our thing, what is better after a long day at the beach then eating a huge meal with a cold drink? Then for some gelato, bed & repeat! Punta Mita is a small town but packed with a lot of restaurant options. We loved the two restaurants we chose to eat at so much we went twice haha. They do fall into our two favorite food categories… Mexican and Italian.
Si Senors has delicious and unique Mexican. Its bay front outside seating & delicious Margaritas under the palms make it a perfect spot. They have a ton of fresh fish options & traditional Mexican dishes but we highly recommend trying the Cochinita Pibil….. so many flavors, so delicious…mouth currently watering. It is pork, slow cooked with all sorts of flavors and they serve it with tasty beans, rice, guac and tortillas…yum!! It’s also kid/baby friendly, which is great for families traveling with their bambinas & kiddos.
Our other favorite spot was Casa Theresa. When you walk into this little spot off a dirt road you feel as you are almost transported to Italy. It is family run restaurant & the seating is open air in a small courtyard connected to the owner’s home. Depending on the time of year we recommend making a later reservation so it isn’t too hot. Our favorite dishes were the chicken parmesan and the lasagna and their focaccia bread is ahhhhhhmazing. The food melts in your mouth & as we write this we are excited for our next trip back to eat here again. It is a little off main street but so worth the visit!
If in Punta Mita for sure check out these places for a great dining experience and a delish delish meal! Cheers!
